Board Guidelines

This site was created to assist those working on recovering from anorexia, bulimia, and associated eating disorders; providing a safe and supportive place for support. This site is not intended to be used as a replacement for treatment from a qualified medical or treatment professional, nor do we provide medical diagnosis or specify treatment options. Please contact a health care professional regarding these issues. The boards are intended to give and receive positive support. Postings that are triggering or inappropriate will be edited or removed from the board.

Member expectations: Members are expected to be mindful of those using the site for support. Members are not allowed to post discussions that are triggering or inappropriate for the site. Postings that are inappropriate or triggering will be removed or edited by the moderators. Members should keep posting geared towards recovery and should not be used to make threats of self-harm. Members should not use the board for business purposes or research requests. Members should also not use the board as a place to ask medical questions or questions regarding medications. The only person to talk to about medications is the person who prescribes them, your physician. What one med does or doesn't do for another person is not relevant to your own needs. Everyone has individual brain chemistry, physical needs, emotional needs, med goals & potential reactions to side effects. Membership to this site will be terminated if you cannot comply with these guidelines.

Privacy Policy: Information collected when you sign up for membership will be kept in complete confidence and will not be sold or distributed to other parties; unless there is concern for your safety or you are a threat to yourself or someone else. We would be obligated to make sure you are safe and that may mean disclosing information to those who can help keep you safe. Because of the material on this site and through the internet, membership is used behaviors to those fourteen and over, anyone thirteen years of age and under must get parental permission to be a member on this site. If we find that a member is under the age of 13 their membership will be immediately terminated and an attempt to contact their parents will be made. This is in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
